A Reminder of God’s Love

Scripture:
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)

Reflective Question:
How can you intentionally remind yourself of God’s love today?

Devotional:
Life has a way of making us forget the goodness of God. This is due to the weight of stress, failure, and discouragement drowning out the truth of God’s love for us. We begin to believe that His care for us is dependent on our performance. It tricks us into thinking that if we don’t measure up to the standard of God’s holiness, His love will be limited to us.

Yet, the gospel of Christ tells a different story. The love of God is not based off our fragile capacities and cannot be satisfied with mortal actions. God’s love for us doesn’t diminish when we fail to please Him. It doesn’t waver when we doubt in our Maker. It is steadfast, unchanging, and renewed for us every single morning.

Now, what would change in your life if you truly believed this truth? If you woke up each day with an unshakeable confidence that God’s love is not based on what you do, but on who He is, your life will change from today. I pray that you will let God’s great love for you be the foundation that shapes your thoughts, your choices, and your heart.

Prayer:
“Lord, I confess that I often forget Your love for me. Thank You that Your mercy is new every morning, no matter what yesterday held. Help me to live today in the confidence of Your unchanging grace.”

Amen.
