Fellowship with the Holy Spirit
Scripture:
“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” — 2 Corinthians 13:14 (NIV)
Reflective Question:
What would it look like for you to deepen your fellowship with the Holy Spirit today?
The Holy Spirit is our most powerful resource; the great helper which God had given to us for our spiritual development. We are so blessed to have the Holy Spirit as a close companion. This is why we must consider our fellowship with Him as something that is not only reserved for moments of spiritual ecstasy — for our relationship with God should bear a fruit which permits the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself in our everyday lives.
Fellowship with the Holy Spirit means more than acknowledging God’s presence; it means to engage with Him. It’s inviting Him into decisions, asking for His counsel, and leaning on His comfort in all that you do. When we talk to God, me must come with a heartfelt dialogue that expresses to him how you really been feeling. The Holy Spirit isn’t a passive force; He speaks, guides, convicts, and empowers those who engage with Him.
Imagine the Him as your well-respected friend, who is always by your side, and accompanies you in the midst of life’s highs and lows. That’s the kind of relationship God invites us into having with the Holy Spirit. Not just an occasional visit here and there marking special occasions; but a constant, living connection that you can depend on.
Prayer:
“Dear Holy Spirit, I welcome Your presence in my life. Teach me to walk with You daily, to hear Your voice, and to live in constant fellowship with You.”
Amen.
